I've checked in 5,756 times since signing up six years ago with the geo-locator site Foursquare, Swarm's predecessor, and have remain fiercely loyal even as only an estimated 1/5th of my 479 contacts bothered to continue with the app; as I wrote this on a Friday afternoon, I discovered I am 13th on a list of 51 friends who bothered to check in at a single location.
